4. Fountain Place
Located in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas, Fountain Place is an architectural beauty. A 5.5. acre plaza located at the base of a glass, geometrically shaped skyscraper, it is unique and wonderful. Both manmade and natural elements collide, with bald cypress trees in circular granite planters surrounded by terraced pools of water. Under the shade of the trees, the area feels somewhat private, making it a wonderful choice for intimate engagement sessions.

6. Rockledge Park
This beautiful park boasts some of the best scenic views! Situated on Grapevine Lake, you will have free range of both wooded and lakeside areas. Hiking trails make accessing more remote locations possible, where the underbrush is green and lush. Or, carefully walk along the rocky ridges and cliffs surrounding the lake. Here you can capture incredibly romantic photographs, with the vast body of water and a sunset for a backdrop.
7. Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden
Boasting everything an arboretum and botanical garden should, this location is rich in some of the most colorful plantlife. A popular wedding venue, it also has gorgeous walkways, water features and unique architectural structures. It is always different depending on the season you visit, which should be factored in to when you book your photo session. I find the best time of the year to be spring, when the flowers are in full bloom (between late February and early April), although fall is also gorgeous.
8. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
A 200 acre nature preserve, Arbor Hills is home to some of the most beautiful untouched nature. The walking trails and open areas are perfect for photos, especially from spring to the fall. During the warmer months the area is lush and green, and almost ethereal. Meanwhile the fall brings out such amazing colors of orange and rust. This location is great for all kinds of shoots, although couples will love traipsing around the area more so than a family packing young ones.

Whether or not you attended the campus, Southern Methodist University is a stunning location for a photoshoot. The grand buildings and perfectly manicured lawns are breathtaking, with so many spaces to pose and wander. This location is wonderful both for a casual session or something more elegant. In the heart of North Oak Cliff, the Bishop Arts District is an independent neighborhood with a whole lot of history. Since being revitalized it is now home to all sorts of cute boutiques and stores. The old buildings feature architecture from the 1920s, now touched up with fun pops of color here and there. This location gives off a lovely small-town feel and makes for a unique and super chic area for a photoshoot.
