Micro-weddings at Pine Lake Ranch Wedding and Event Venue may be my new favorite thing to photograph. This was such an intimate, sweet and sincere wedding and I cannot get enough of it.
But, this wedding was not always set to be a small wedding. Covid-19 gave this sweet couple an absolute run for their money. After a year planning every single detail: florals, catering, DJ, officiant, invitations, everything...these noble souls had to reschedule their original wedding date from November to February after they both tested positive for Covid. Months passed. And, since they are still nervous for the safety of their friends and family, they decided to change their 150+ guest count to only three: the bride, the groom and the bride's mother who walked her down the aisle.
Not only did they deal with everything in regards to Covid so selflessly, THEN, the day of the wedding the weather decides to dip BELOW freezing and was the start of this giant winter storm we all just experienced. When they said "for better or for worse" they meant it in every sense of the phrase. They were READYYYY to be married, and I am so so so happy I was able to be there to capture this unexpected, memorable, and perfect in it's own way, day for such a beautiful couple. It was beautiful.
